Jen went above and beyond, she did such an amazing job. She had everything covered, all we pretty much had to do was pack and get to the plane. We had some difficulties getting the days and room style we wanted but she was able to work out the details and got everything we wanted plus. With all the uncertainty of Covid; my spouse and I decided to just go for it and take our dream trip to Antigua. We splurged and stayed in a rondoval and we are so glad we did! The resort was amazing and the island so incredibly beautiful. With the protocols of testing to get into the country we felt very safe. We actually enjoyed the resort being at low capacity as all the staff were super attentive to us. Jenny helped every step of the way to make sure all our questions were answered and that we were taken care of. We are so grateful to have been able to take this vacation and that our travel agent did a phenomenal job! Book with Jenny! We booked our trip last year for a Christmas gift. My husband and I went back and forth because of Covid but decided that we could be just as safe going anywhere as we are at home. We went to Mexico and it absolutely blew our minds on all of the precautions everyone was taking. We felt safer travel to another country on an airplane in an airport versus going to the grocery store. I am glad we made the decision to come because it was the best time to go. There was hardly anyone on the plane and we pretty much had the whole resort to ourselves without losing any of the accommodations or perks. My family wants to book another vacations ASAP because of COVID so we can enjoy all the amenities of an all inclusive without the large crowd of people. if you are thinking about planning a trip now is the perfect time costs are down, people are down but you still get the same quality. Just wanted to say thank you thank you for your great work in booking our cruise on the Carnival Horizon. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about this trip as well as EVERYTHING about this ship. Carnival Horizon has some fun new age updates including a smart elevator concept, designed to help with crowd control and to move people along faster....which it does with mostly success. It's also got an upgraded version of Carnival's Hub App, which on Horizon allows passengers to do things like make restaurant reservations using their devices. (You can see the menus for each of the restaurants using the app too which helps with decision making). It also has an entertainment schedule and allows you to text members of your party for just a $5 per sailing charge. All the arrangements and transfers worked like clockwork, I appreciate your efforts in making sure we had everything we needed and wanted. As always, you have gone above and beyond in planning the best vacation for us. For the last 2 years we have gone on a cruise. The first was the first for my wife and I and this year was for my family of 5. Both years we have booked through Jen @AkersVacations and it has been outstanding. We told jen where we wanted to go and how long. She has done an outstanding job! Jen Akers made our trip to Disney World so easy and truly magical. Carnival liberty, May 14-18th 2017
My husband and I decided for a new adventure and chose to go on our first cruise!! I am a very organized traveler, I need to know exactly how everything will be and where to go and how long the lines will be and will I get lost, where will I park etc. - just a frantic frenzy, which is why Cruise Planners was a HUGE blessing!! Jen made everything SO easy!! She knew all the ins and outs, what ship was the best fit for what we were looking for & was accessible at all times!! My family and I recently had the pleasure of sailing aboard the MSC Divina in April 2017. It was our first cruise and we had a wonderful time. The ship is impressive, our cabin was comfortable, the food was good and the weather was nice. You cant ask for much more than that.

We had our first real family vacation at Dreams Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic in March. It was a dream come true for us - the kind of vacation we never thought we could have afforded or experienced! The beach and resort were breathtaking, the food and entertainment were amazing, and we made so many precious memories together. Everything about our travel was easy to navigate and we always felt taken care of. I want to say thank you Jen for being a great travel agent! We loved the simplicity of the wedding registry! Since we had a destination wedding this was the best thing we could do and it was easy for our guests to use.
When it came time to book our honeymoon, you made the process easy. You also kept saving us money, which was a wonderful bonus! We have both traveled quite a bit and loved not having to worry about anything. You reminded us when things needed to be done and sending us information on excursions. Even the day we departed, you contacted us and wanted to make sure we were on the boat safely and if we needed anything, we were so impressed with the level of service you provided.

I wanted to tell you how much I appreciated all the leg work you did arranging my bachlorette cruise!!! You were a life saver when one of my girls forgot her passport and you made sure we all got on and sailed away with smiles!! Thanks also for the wonderful bridal swag in the room the lovely beach bag which came in handy and my awesome wine glass!! You were so quick to respond to all our questions and were so helpful!! Jen was such a great help in finding us a tropical, all inclusive resort to go over the Christmas holiday. I normally book all our own vacations but couldn't find anything in the price range we were wanting. Within a week Jen had found us a destination. We were going to the Breezes in Nassau, Bahamas. After we had booked this flight, leaving at 11:30am, they canceled it but we were able to get on the earlier flight at 9:30am. Then this time changed slightly but Jen let me know right away about these changes. She also gave us a booklet with the itinerary, transportation transfer, and all other important documentation for our trip. That came in, along with luggage tags, in a small bag which came in very handy to keep our passports & boarding passes in.
The hotel overall wasn't as nice as we were expecting. The room decor was old, the maid service wasn't good and the buffet in the morning never had clean tables. But the weather was nice, the pool was nice and the food in the restaurants was good. But two nights there was only 1 restaurant open and it took 2 1/2hrs to get seated. Then the salad bar was empty. There were a few other disappointments and I really wouldn't recommend this hotel but it was in our price range.
Even while we were there Jen kept in contact with us, if there was anything she could help us to let her know. We did have a great experience with her and for our family of six to get away together for Christmas for six days, that was priceless!!

This helped relieve a lot of stress so that when I finally came back home my family and I could enjoy a wonderful, stress free, fun vacation together! We stayed at the Hilton Ponce Golf & Casino Resort, September 3rd - 7th 2015. Our hotel was a little dated, however it was very clean and the staff were always helpful! Our room was huge and we did get an ocean view! It was on the other side of the resort from the lobby so it was quite a walk everyday but I didn't mind.
Our travel agent(Jen) was able to get breakfast included in the price of our hotel, which helped a lot! The breakfast had an amazing selection, assorted fruit/pastries/eggs to order/cereal etc. The hotel had lots of amenities, amazing work out center that I did not get the opportunity to use and several outdoor activities. The pool was only 6 feet in a small section, was crowded and a bit small. The beach was not well kept or pretty by any means compared to other beaches in Puerto Rico. But the grounds were beautiful on the resort. Overall lasting impression I felt it was not the nicest hotel I have stayed in but definitely worth the price paid! It was a little off the beaten path which was fine but limited the dinning selection if you were not willing to travel out to get food.
The van was very comfortable for our family of 5 plus luggage. The battery dying on our first day Friday, the 4th really put us in a funk. Luckily a family friend was meeting us and gave us a jump, but we had to keep the vehicle running until we got to the car rental place. Which once I was transferred on the phone three times to the Mayaguez "Alamo" he gave us bad directions, so we were lost, stopped two more time for directions before we found the place and it was an Enterprise not an Alamo. The guy did not have another van so he sent us down the road to a pep boys where we had to wait for them to change out the battery. (We actually went into Walgreens next door to get some snacks). The van worked fine after that. The unfortunate part was we were on the major road through Mayaguez and it was a traffic jam so it took us at least 2.5 hours to get this fixed. The getting lost was not fun either. End result when we turned in the van we owed $25 due to the gas tank not being filled up so they waived that price. Not sure if I should have pushed it more or not. Our travel agent (Jenny) offered to go the extra mile to see what she could do for us when we returned but I did not want her to go out of her way for more.
It was an amazing trip and Jen really helped me and my family have a really nice vacation! I can't wait to have her plan our next vacation! Wow, what a Vacation! Having two children six years apart, ages 14 and 20, I have always found it difficult to find a vacation spot that would appeal to them both. However, Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island in the Bahamas fit all of our needs, including myself. First of all let me start off by mentioning how absolutely stunning this resort is! It is a large resort, and does require a lot of walking in order to get around, but offers activities for all ages from one end of the resort to the other. Atlantis is located just over the bridge from Nassau, Bahamas which made for a convenient day trip away from the resort life, and a chance to experience a bit of the Bahamian culture. You can choose to get to Nassau via Taxi or take the water ferry for appx. 8 dollars pp. We loved the water ferry and felt very safe (which was always a concern of mine traveling alone with my two young daughters) since many other travelers were going via water taxi as well. Safety in numbers, right?! Once in Nassau, you can shop at the market and get great deals especially if you like to barter.
Back at the resort there were so many activities to do that one could never possibly find themselves bored. We had 11 pools or so to choose from, as well as a private beach along the ocean. The sun (we went in June) was definitely hot and intense (take lots of sunscreen) but we were also able to find plenty of shade by the pools. There is a massive waterpark with rides/activities for every age. You can relax on the lazy river, or if you are in for more of an adventure you can opt for a more hand-gripping experience on one of the scarier water rides. The lines were not long for us, I'm sure it depends on time of year you go, but our maximum wait was around 15-20 minutes. Not too shabby!
Once we had a full day in the sun and were looking to escape to a cool place, there was plenty of nightlife activities for each of us to choose from. There is a casino located within the resort, as well as a Teen club (Crush) for my 14 year old daughter and adult clubs for both my daughter and I. My youngest daughter especially loved the Teen club and went every night almost while we were there. Just keep in mind that there is an additional cost to get into the club per night, but was well worth it to us. The club is secure within the walls of the resort, has staff there to watch and assist the kids, and offers plenty of activities for them to do.
The food options (depending on your package) ranged from 7-10 restaurants. I picked the lesser of the two dining options which included 7 restaurants. I believe this was plenty. The other package includes more expensive restaurants which we would never use, to fancy for our liking. The one thing I would mention is the hidden cost of the dining package that I was unaware of. I believed with this package that I was 100% covered for all meals, and any additional tip would be at my discretion; however, this was not the case. Each meal I was required to pay 15% gratuity as well as 7.2% resort tax. Therefore, I might pay anywhere from 12 up to 35 USD with each meal depending on what restaurant we choose to eat at. And, I will say that we were not overly impressed with the taste of the food. It was edible, but not as good as I would have expected.
The resort is not all inclusive, so while there are many excursions or activities to do one must keep in mind that this is an additional cost and can be quite expensive. While there certainly is plenty to do, i.e. pools/waterpark/beach that is included with your room other excursions can range in the 100 of dollars pp and up. We choose to do one excursion, shallow water dolphin excursion, which the girls absolutely loved! They have many other onsite excursions to choose from as well, i.e. swimming with the sharks/stingrays; scuba diving, snorkeling.
Overall, Atlantis is a beautiful resort to visit with an abundance of things to do! It was a trip of a lifetime for my girls and I! We thought the resort was meticulously maintained indoors and out, had plenty of things to do that we never got bored (actually couldn't even fit everything in over our 7 days there), felt very safe, and loved the weather. While a bit on the pricey side, if one can afford to go to Atlantis I would highly recommend it, and my daughters would second that!
Lastly working with Jen Akers made the vacation planning so much easier. As a person easily overwhelmed by all the details required to plan such a trip, it didn't take long before I realized it was much more than I wanted or was willing to do. Having a experienced professional who is familiar with the in's and out's of the traveling industry was a necessity in my case and made my time away much more pleasurable. I simply provided Jenny with my budgets, ideas, and needs and she did the rest. She was more than willing to provide me with multiple options and never made me feel bad about having her check into one more thing. This was not easy for me, because I am not one to have another person take on my responsibilities. However, I was assured multiple times by Jenny that I was not to worry and she was more than willing to help me plan my dream vacation! I loved having my information booklet which provided me with all my trip details right at my fingertips, along with important numbers to call with any questions or concerns. In a day not often utilized by travel agents anymore, I highly recommend Jen's services! For this women at least, I couldn't be happier with the services she provided and could rest easier knowing that all my needs were met.

Jen did a wonderful job helping me book a spring break vacation to Florida for my family and I. We ended up getting a rental car picked it up here in battle creek the day before we left and returned it the day after we got home. Our vacation was 4 days in Vero Beach Florida and 3 days at Disney World. In Vero beach we stayed at Costa D Esta hotel, it was located right on the ocean. We had an ocean view balcony King suite, it was absolutely amazing. The room itself was really nice, all tile floors a huge bed and a huge bathroom n shower. The view was breathe taking, from the balcony I could view the pool and also look straight out into the ocean. It was a great experience the 4 days we were there. The food at the hotel was really good, nice variety of Cuban decent. There was a nice pool and also a beach front where there were towels supplied. My overall stay at Vero beach I would say was a 10 out of 10. Everyone was very helpful and Jen did a nice job putting it together I would def go back and would recommend the hotel to family n friends. When our time was up at the beach we headed to Orlando to stay at a Disney hotel. We stayed at the French Quarter Disney hotel. We chose the 2 day hopper passes that allowed us to pick a different park each day and included transportation! The hotel had a really cool pool and offered lots of food n drinks for the family. Lots of activities going on for the children as well as the adults. Before we knew it it was time to come home. Disney was also a 10 out of 10. There was only one down fall from the entire trip and that was driving 20hrs + both ways, that won't happen again because next time we will fly. I would have to say that Jen did an amazing job and overall I was totally satisfied n happy with my vacation package. My Husband and I traveled to Punta Cana from May 1st through the 5th. This was our first vacation since our Honeymoon eight years ago! Thanks to Jen Akers we were able to plan an amazing vacation. We stayed at the Riu Palace Bavaro in Punta Cana. The resort was brand new, modern, clean and beautiful. The beaches and pools were clean and well taken care of. We had an all inclusive package which is the way to go. This resort is operated by Riu which has 4 other resorts neighboring on the beach, The neat thing about that is you have access to those other resorts as a Bavaro guest, but those resorts do not have access to Bavaro. Our room was located in a VIP villa which had a private pool and swim up bar for the villa guests. The food was great and there were plenty of choices to please any appetite. All beverages were included too, they are not shy on the alcohol in your drinks either. The weather was nice and warm, we had rain in the afternoons but that did not ruin the experience. We would recommend this resort and would for sure return in the future. Jen's knowledge and experience helped to assure that our trip was everything we had hoped for and more. They have the largest resort in Montego bay and we absolutely loved the villas!! Everything went very smooth and we would absolutely work with her again.
